Easy Meals for Busy Days (and what I've been up to lately)

Hello!

How are things in your corner of the world? My husband Guy and I arrived home yesterday after whirlwind 3 weeks away in the US, a trip that combined work meetings for Guy and catching up with friends along with some time together to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.

The grey weather here in England may be a sharp contrast to the sunshine we've been enjoying in Arizona, California and Hawaii, but I have come home to a garden in full bloom. My flowering cherry tree is heavy with fluffy pink blossoms and my garden is ablaze with colour. There are dozens of hyacinths in every shade you can think of as well as pretty little narcissus flowering their little hearts out. It was lovely such a gorgeous welcome home.

A Peak Behind the Scenes

Guy and I spent a long weekend in Maui at the end of our trip. Guy treated me to a beautiful suite in the Fairmont Kea Lani with a wrap-around balcony and a stunning ocean view. We even saw some humpback whales!

We walked, relaxed by the pool and enjoyed some fabulous Hawaiian food. I'm so grateful to have had such a fun and restorative time together.

We had a whistle-stop overnight stay at the Fairmont in San Francisco on our journey home, staying in the hotel's Bombay Suite on the sixth floor. It had the most beautiful art deco balcony with wrought iron railings and graceful stone carvings. It felt like stepping back in time.

Now we are home, I'm thinking about new ways to make our day to day routine seem a little easier and more nurturing. I always find a little advance planning helps enormously, especially when life gets busy. Here are some of the easy meals we are will be enjoying over the next week or so.

This week I'm...

Reading - The Hive* by Gill Hornby and The Lamplighter's Bookshop* by Sophie Austin. Both were excellent reads!

Watching - Man on the Inside Season 2 on Netflix

Listening to - Everything is Figureoutable * by Marie Forleo on Audible

Recommending - Apple AirTags* - I use these to keep track of my handbags and our luggage. It is such a relief to know your bags are actually at the airport when they are taking a long while to get to the luggage carousel. And if the worst happens, it is much easier to track them down.

That's all for now. I'll be back next week with more inspiration to help you curate a life you love - including 3 books that changed my life.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello! Can you believe we are over 100 days into 2026? Time seems to be moving at such a pace, it has me thinking about the importance of slowing down and finding joy in the simple, everyday moments. Whether it's taking the time for a few minutes with the book you really don't want to put down, having a quick cup of tea in the garden or simply smelling the flowers, it is almost always the smallest moments that can make us feel more grounded. Oh, and I have a question for you. Are you someone...
