Simple Ways To Refresh For The New Season + Two New Recipe Collections
Published about 2 months ago • 2 min read
Hello!
Here in the south of England, spring has truly arrived and I am making the most of that fresh seasonal energy at home, in the kitchen and as we get ready for our next family travel adventure.
How are things going in your corner of the world? If you'd like to share, please just tap reply. I love hearing from you all.
Since our 2023 home renovation, my spring decor updates have been more about just giving the house a gentle lift, including switching up soft furnishings and refreshing the things I have on display.
That said, if you are considering a larger renovation project, you might find my Home Renovation Tips helpful. I share everything I learned, including all the things I wish I had known before we started, the things I am glad we did, and just a few small regrets.
From My Kitchen To Yours
I have been updating two of my recipe collections, and I am delighted to be able to share them with you on the website now!
Whether you are looking for an easy breakfast, something filling to pack in a lunchbox or a delicious snack with a cup of tea or a glass of milk, you can’t go wrong with this collection of my favourite muffin recipes.
There are lots of easy, classic and traditional cookie recipes perfect for everyday baking for you to enjoy in this collection of easy to make cookie recipes.
Behind The Scenes
My husband Guy and I had a lovely time celebrating Easter with friends and family, both at home and away!
I made an Easter cake when family visited on Easter Saturday using half of the batter from this Devil's Food Cake recipe. I decorated it with a vanilla buttercream icing, sprinkles and mini eggs. It was so easy and our guests loved it. I used the remaining batter into cupcakes, which I cooled and froze for another time.
We are now getting ready for our family road trip to the Alsace with two of our vintage cars, our 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air (aka "Tiffany") and our 1996 Bentley Turbo R.
In addition to all the packing a road trip entails, we also been checking both cars over thoroughly to ensure they are ready to go and that we have everything we need to drive in Europe.
Our son Alexander and his partner Hannah will be travelling in the Chevy (the car Guy and I are pictured in above) and Guy and I will be in the Bentley.

This week I'm...
Reading - The Other Bennet Sister* by Janice Hadlow - I want to finish the book before I watch the BBC television series.
Watching - The Artemis 2 launch and mission. I have been fascinated by space exploration and the moon ever since I was a child, and seeing so much coverage of the mission on the Nasa YouTube channel and on Nasa's Instagram is delightful.
Curating - my Storefront on Amazon*, where I share some of my favourite things. I would love it if you could pop over and let me know what you think, and also please let me know if there are any other product categories you would like me to cover. You can reach out by simply tapping 'reply' to this email.
That's all for now. I'm off to do some more packing. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week!
Thank you so much again for being a subscriber. Remember you can reply to this email with any questions, comments, suggestions or just to say hi. I love to hear from you.

Hello! How are things in your corner of the world? Lately I have been thinking a lot about what it means to curate a life you love. It's not about perfection or filling every moment with extraordinary things, but more thoughtfully choosing (where you can) to embrace the things that make you feel joyful and fulfilled. Enjoying the beautiful flower displays at Belgravia in Bloom From the food we cook to the places we visit, the clothes we wear and even the beauty that we notice along the way,...
Hello! Can you believe we are over 100 days into 2026? Time seems to be moving at such a pace, it has me thinking about the importance of slowing down and finding joy in the simple, everyday moments. Whether it's taking the time for a few minutes with the book you really don't want to put down, having a quick cup of tea in the garden or simply smelling the flowers, it is almost always the smallest moments that can make us feel more grounded. Oh, and I have a question for you. Are you someone...
Hello! How are things in your corner of the world? These are certainly strange times we are going through, and I hope that wherever you are, you are safe and well. Life seems to get busier and busier, so today I have some recipes to help you answer the 'what's for dinner?' question more easily. I'm also sharing things that are making me smile - in the hope they will make you smile too - as well as an explanation of how I managed to get to Canada from the UK without getting on a plane. But...
